Cambridgeshire’s approach

Local Authorities are responsible for the planning of extended services. Cambridgeshire’s approach involves the core offer being made available in and around clusters of schools within a locality area, linking with other agencies and providers.

Locality managers, in some cases supported by an Extended Schools coordinator, are working closely with the clusters to draw together the delivery of the extended schools
core offer. Debbie Heath is the Co-ordinator for this cluster of schools.

Since April 2006 additional government funding has been provided for this development.
